I'm tired of straighten my hair b/c it often takes much time %26amp; on humid days it does not help much. But I also herd relaxers are very damaging to hair.
Besides a relaxer, what is a similar product for straight hair?
Kerastase Oleo-Relax works really well for me when I want to straighten my frizzy curly hair. Also if you flat iron get a ceramic flat iron, the ceramic irons keep the hair a lot smoother then the traditional ones, which will help on those humid days. Also when my hair poofs out with the humidity I use another product when my hair is dry called Aveda Anti-Humectant, it repels moisture...but you can only use a small amount of this stuff, and I mean like the size of a pea because it's really potent and if you use too much you'll have greasy hair.
I wouldn't do a relaxer...but that's just me, I used to be a hairstylist and the only people who really benefited from the relaxer were people who had really thick, curly and un-colored hair. Everyone else who had the relaxer done just had nasty damaged hair....even those with the Japanese straightening.

Bumble and Bumble Straight works really well. After towel drying, smooth through hair, Blow dry with brush and touch up with a ceramic flat iron. You can go 1-3 days without washing and just flat iron touch-ups.
