I am terrible with hair, and was looking for any inspiration to keep me from putting it in a pony tail all summer.

There are several things you can do. First, go out and buy yourself a CHI IRON. Try sally's they will have it. This is a flat iron that is ceramic. It gets really hot and gets your hair really straight and it will last. As far as style goes try getting some layers cut for a little diversity also try some summer highlights for fun. Also try styling it in different ways. Bangs are really in now. Try parting it down the middle and on the side for diversity as well. And if you just have to wear it up instead of wearing a pony tail try a clip instead with a front swoop. It's easy but not a pony.

Braids or plaits...work to provide a soft wave...if you have it plaited while it is wet from the shower. Detangle with a comb or brush through; plait; secure; let dry naturally. When you take it down...it has a soft, permed look without the permanency of a perm.

u could do a little pony tail in the middle of ur head and braid it and leave the rest down or u could do that with out braiding it. or if u have long bangs u could do ur hair up in a pony tail and leave ur bangs down and make ringlets with them,using a curing iron.
