First i would recommend you getting a perm. But if you have coarse hair the best perm for you to get would be Motions. You can also get a ceramic straighting iron and some Dr. Miracles hair grease and put on that hair grease and then straightin your hair trust me it will work. I am Black, Indian And white and I have the same problem and those were the only 2 ways to straighten my hair. Good Luck!

I suggest a deep conditioning and flat ironing your hair. Take little pieces at a time since your hair is thick and when you're done beehive wrap your hair and cover it with a scarf. Yes, you can get a perm, but those are so damaging I don't recommend it.

Ok so you permed your hair %26amp; now you want it straight. Well.. There is something called a thermal ionic which is the opposite of a perm that you can do however its pricey to get but still an option. You could probably chemically relax it but i'm not sure if that will break all your hair off but i know for sure a thermal ionic will be fine without killing your hair.

i used this chemical straightening kit from sallys it comes with an amazing conditioner do it yourself kit lats for ages and if you do it right then theres no curls or anything. Ive done it on my friends many atime and not had a problem since. If not id use the straightners as long as hair is in good condition and you use a heat defence its fine. I know some people who use straightners everyday and not harmed their hair.

It's better to just tell her you don't want to straighten it because it may come out bad. That is better then the persons hair getting ruined from chemicals. Just be honest with her if you don't feel comfortable doing it.
