How do you make volume in straight hair?

how do you make volume in your hair with a straightener? and are there products you can use? i need step by step..

How do you make volume in straight hair?

My hair is naturally straight and really fine. Before I blow dry I use "bigsexyhair Blow Dry Voluminizing Gel" that I get from my hairdresser. I put between a dime/quarter sized amount onto my roots and work my way down. I blowdry my hair upside down. I start flipping the roots up with a paddle brush just before it's dry. I then use a flat iron to style. I use Vo5 Play! reworkable putty (from WalMart) to hold in place. I use hairspray for the extra hold. I don't think any of these products will effect the straightener and they give me really great volume.

you could straighten it and then put some volume serum through it. Ive done that before and it worked well for me.

spray roots with a volumizer spray, then blow dry your roots in the opposite direction from which they grow; dry the rest of your hair like normal, then use your straightener to make ends smooth

The best way to do it is to spray some volumizer just at the roots of your hair. No where else. Then blow dry using a round brush, then flat iron. Finish with a very little hair spray (hairspray will weigh it down)
