How to spiral curl thick straight hair?

my hair has volume but when i curled it last year it had to be very greasy and i had to do it with a stratinging iron by fliping it up and pulling it down but still it would stick up in a weird way if i stoped pulling it in a smooth way please help me or give me tips on how to do this

my hair is naturally very straight and doesn't hold curl well. to spiral curl it (ringlets), i divide it into small sections, and pull it out from my head, positioning the curling iron parallel to my head, and curling inwards. spray the hair before you curl it with a protector-spray to ward off damage and to keep the curl. After you pull the iron out, spray it with hairspray.

Personally, after I'm all done, I let the curls sit for about 15 minutes, then finger comb them so i have a huge head of curls.

Wash it right before. Then take a strand, put moose on it and then curl it with a curling iron. Then hairspray it and arrange them once your done. Hot rollers work well too. I have super straight hair and this works for me. It also helps to have someone else do it for you. Good Luck!!
