I think the key would be using a conditioner. That tends to drag hair down a bit.

Try Panteen Pro V "Straighten Out." Only makes my pin straight if I combo it with a flat iron. Otherwise just kills a lot of my random frizzy and crazy hairs. I suggest the shampoo+conditioner combo.

well you can buy shampoo that de frizzes your hair, or makes it smoother they really do work. Straightening shampoo doesn't! Also, theres lost of serums made by Bed Head, and Redken that work great when my hairs too curly.

Herbal essences dangerously straight. I know you said not pin straight, but it doesn't work that well. I mean it straightens your hair, but when you wake up or get out of the shower, it's not automatically straight. I have wavy hair, also. This works best for me.

I use Matrix Biolage Smoothing Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner, than i let it hang dry (blow drying is bad for your hair %26amp; causes frizz %26amp; split ends) So after its dry, i straighten my hair upside down, i know it sounds weird but it makes my hair straight but not flat straight, it gives it volume %26amp; it makes it look a lot smoother, shinier, %26amp; straighter, than just looking in a mirror and straightenin it, works great for me %26amp; i have wavy hair.

I have wavy hair, too, and I've tried some shampoos that make that claim. But you know what they really do? They just make your hair super greasy. That way it's heavier and will tend to lie straighter. But then it just looks really gross.

I use a Revlon ceramic straightener (about $30 at any drugstore or Target) to get my hair straight (and it curls under at the bottom). The straightener can be used to get your hair somewhat straighter, if you just want to calm the thick waves. Just use it quickly, and on large quantities of hair at a time. That'll flatten it out a bit.

dangerously straight shampoo... try something with volume too or try blow drying it with a diffuser.

also use a brush with you blowdry your hair, using your fingers creates frizz

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... i have tried so many shampoos that suposevly SAY that they will magically turn your hair straight. THEY NEVER DO. trust me. think about it.....you are getting your hair wet. how could anything makle your hair straight when it is wet?
