I would reccommend using a curling iron. Make sure you take small sections, as you are about to roll down spray a little hairspray, on the hair and continue. Another thing that I found helps is to put gel in your hair first two.

These things are what I do for really fine hair that doesn't hold the curl well. I learned these things from my hairdresser many years ago.

Good luck.

I braid my wet hair (many sections) before going to bed. When you take down the braids you have an instant perm that last for days. But will wash out when you shampoo again...Remember the thicked the braid ,,the longer it will take to dry..I braid using not some much hair in each braid,,but enough to hold the braid with rubber bands

Here's an old insider's trick, that will allow the actual 'curl' to really rev up a bit, and work faster. Use a few drops of finger nail polish remover, added to the mixture, before applying to the hair. There's a very simple science to it. Each shaft of hair has something similar to 'scales' that lie flat along the shaft of hair. They overlap each other. It is the core of the shaft which actually needs to be treated, in order to get the curled effect.

Adding just a few drops of polish remover forces the scale-like parts to open up, exposing the core of the hair shaft, and ensuring a better, i.e., 'curlier' curl. Also, don't sleep with the rollers. Do it in the morning, or afternoon, and you should have plenty of time to rinse out your hair and dry naturally before sleep. The curl will last whether you roller it at night, or not.

This is the right answer ok? I had this problem, I am asian and I am 12 years old. I had this problem. Asian hair, is totally straight and you can't curl it right. So what I did was that I used the curling iron. What you have to do is use the curling iron and let it sit for about 10 seconds like this, : 1.......2.......3.......4........and so on. It WILL NOT burn your hair because I have thin hair and it didn't burn it. Also I know it will work. Other wise use FOAM rollers and it will curl. Leav it in 4 about 4 or more hours and it will curl. I had to do that 4 cheerleading. You don't even need hair spray either.
