plain curlers will do it for the overnight - you can usually get them at CVS or something like that. i got my hair permed , but if you don't want your hair constantly curly then i would say go for the curlers.

You can try using the regular foam rollers that don't use heat: you should be able to get them at any beauty supply store, and even some dollar stores have them. Besides that, go into the shampoo isle of your favorite store and see if they have any styling products that will aid in curling hair. There might be a cream or something you can put on before using the rollers, and then use hair spray and let them set.

I kind of had the same question. My hair is also straight but I want to make it curly without using heat. Sadly, i think heat is the best way. I tried using Conair curlers the other day and I put about 20 into my hair. I took them out in the morning and my hair was a mess!!! The curls were short instead of long (like my hair) and it looked like i had an afro. I suggest you use a curling mousse that you can find at any drug store. I would go to a nice hair salon and get a really nice curling product or get an expensive set of curlers. Don't use cheap ones!!!

Herbal Essences has shampoos out that make your hair straight/curly/wavy dending on what shampoo you use. it works fairly weel, though not as much as they advertise it.

~For straight hair (without the shampoo), when you get out of the shower, keep combing your hair (wide-toothed, avoid damage!) When it gets drier, use a smaller comb and keep going. every 10 mins or so, comb it. When it dries, it'll be straight.

~For waves, loosely braid your hair when its wet in big braids. Air dry it, then take them out, it'll be wavy.

~For curls, tight-ish braid your hair, and air-dry. Take them out, itll be curly. NOT TOO TIGHT or else itll be kinky!

Good luck to you, and good job for no-heat products!

i have naturally pin-straight hair. but i bought this stuff called beyond the zone. one of them says "activate curls" and "kick up your curls". its really for people with curly hair but it works wonders for me. they're sprays and its not an overnight thing, it takes 10min tops. and you can go to sleep, and wake up with your hair still curly. you can buy it at CVS or a walmart

for curly hair without heat you could use rags very cheap way for curly hair you can use an old tea towel or cotton sheets just shred them into long strip you may need someone to help you if this is your first time

1 wet your hair

2 section your hair all up except the bottom

3 wrap the some of your hair round the towel

4 you should be left with some of the towel left

5 use the remainder of the towel and wrap the towel back up your hair in the opposite direction you have wrap your hair and tie at the top

6 do the rest the same but please do the rags quite thick or you will look like a poodle

7 once your finished go to bed and unravel in the morning to revile curly hair

PS.. the more hair you use in each rag the bigger the curl

I'm sitting here, a girl with sheeny shiny poker straight locks usually, with textured, tousled hair which I know will stay in all day. Buy some styling mousse or any kind of mousse really (I use Elvive) put a BIG blob into your hand and scrunch into hair. VOILA! Tip: Don't overscrunch as it will weaken staying power. Good luck! x
