I have long brown straight hair, its all one length. I'm board of it. Any ideas?

I want layers or bangs, but i dont want it to no look good or have the hair stylist mess up.

I would need a picture to really give suggestions for you specifically, but here are some ideas that you could maybe use:

*If you really want to go for a change, you could get THICK BLUNT BANGS straight across your forehead above your eyes. I know for a fact that this changes your look a lot, and if you don't like it you can sweep it to the side to make side bangs. It accentuates your facial features though, so if you don't have prominent facial features (I know I don't) I would think about it before getting one. Oh, and if your face is small and/or round, it will make your face look even smaller so I would decide against that. This would be perfect for a square/oval face though.

*SIDE BANGS are always nice. If you have a long face, it'll create the illusion of a rounder face, and different styles of side bangs can make round face look more elongated. you can get them shorter, just above your eyes, or longer so you can hook them behind your ears. If you can get them just above your eyes, I would suggest angling them to the side and not get them straight across. Side bangs look great with long hair too.

*If you want, get a SHORTER LAYER AT THE TOP and a LONGER LAYER AT THE BOTTOM, so the shorter layer sort of frames your face and the longer layer comes out from under it. It's flattering for all face shapes and a great change.

*Permanently CURLING your hair might be a nice change. And if you don't want to curl it, you can at least get it wavy and cut your hair so it's about shoulder length. That's really pretty.

*COLORING is also a choice, not one I'll really recommend because of the damage it does to your hair, but it IS a nice change. You can do subtle highlights or change your hair color altogether, maybe to an auburn (the hair color on the girl in the picture I have you for the side bangs is perfect) or a darker brown. Don't go blonde all of a sudden, because if you don't like it it'll be hard to go back. Best to go little by little.

*If you want to keep the length of your hair don't read this, but if you don't really mind, then I think you should cut it to about your shoulders and get layers to create more volume. That would be really pretty.

you can get long layers that really doesnt mess up youre hair and get a saide bang and if you want you can put some black highlights

Just to start out with, so it's not a shock, just get a few long layers and every time you go get more and more if you like it. I suggest going with some layers before you go for bangs. If you do get bangs make sure you get side swept ones that go to your cheek bone so that way if you don't like it, you can always put it behind your ears or mix it in with your other hair. side bangs would definately be cute. get the rest of your hair angled around your face! oh and if you dont want them to mess up, be sure to go to a good place, silly! but usually its not even hard to fix bcuz my hair stylist messed up once and it was horrible so my mom told her and she was just like oh sorry! and fixed it and now its perfect! yumyum :D

I think bangs and layers are a good idea. Depending on how old you are, you could do highlights or maybe get a perm. You could even buy a hair curler and curl it some days and leave it straight on other days.

Have you thought of bangs straight across, or even add some layers. Change is always good and don't be afraid of a mess up people are always but it usuallys looks good in the end or if it doesn't you can always grow it out again..Hair grows back and you can always change it
