Yes! Stop right away. Washing every 3 days or so is plenty. Also, use a straightening iron with thermal spray and a leave-in conditioner. The straightener smooths your hair right over and keeps frizziness and kinks out of it, while the thermal spray protects it and makes it shiny and smooth. Try Matrix Sleek...you only need a little bit, and it works wonders. It's slightly expensive, but I can't use any other stuff on my hair...drugstore stuff just doesn't compare.
