Well, without spending money there is really no way of doing it except using a straight iron on it. I have THICK, CURLY course hair, and I get it straightened once every 3 months using Chi products at my hair salon. It's expensive though, but there is much more expensive out there. But totally worth it, I get a Chi shampoo and condition, straightening serum, and Kerotine spray (which keeps hair strong and healthy) I love my curly hair but sometimes it is just too much work when the humidity is bad. I would ask your local salons about the Chi straightening service and I RECOMMEND IT. I have had it done over a year and a half and when the roots grow out 2 inches, I go back and have it done again.
