I'd Like To Have Straight Hair, But...?

I naturally have long waved hair. I don't like it, it waves in all the wrong places, and my straightening iron doesn't work as good as it used to it now takes so much longer and it starts to get all wavy again, could you recommend a certain brand(maybe a little on the cheaper side)? Or different technique to straighten my hair?

Revlon. It's white and has gold plaits. It's about $20 and works really well if you set it on high temperature.

YES TRY CONAIR PRODUCTS

try putting layers in your hair it will make the curls come out better, it will also take less time to straighten. Get a straighter that is cermamic, it won't damage your hair as much. Aslo try blow drying your hair before you straighten it.

conair infiniti. $30-$40. ceramic. works pretty well on my thick, medium length, coarse, curly, wavy, frizzy, fly-away hair.

I like conair and remington flat irons. They are resonably priced but the Chi is by far the best flat iron. you can blow dry your hair straight with a round brush that works pretty well, and you could always save up and go to a salon to get it chemically straightened, although very expensive it seems well worth it.

You can get chemical straightening done at a salon. From http://hcr.in/straighten.html

Around $7.00

Here is a cheap way to straighten your hair. Just for me makes a product for little girls that works really well. It's a product for African Americans but I'm not African American and it works great for me.

It's Just For Me TEXTURIZER (not relaxer) It comes in a yellow box and it has a picture of two little girls on the front with wavy/curly hair.

On African Americans, this product softens your hair. If you're not African American it will straighten it. When it's in your hair you'll be able to see how straight your hair is getting so you can estimate when to wash it out. Use your straightening iron and your hair will be as straight as a board.

I've used this product on my 6 year old and it kept her hair straight for about a month (even with washing).

Make sure the box says texturizer, not relaxer. It's really easy to use.

You can buy it at Target, KMart, or health and beauty stores.
