my hair is naturally curly but i like to straighten it cuz its not frizzy that way. but it seems like everyday i have to touch up the roots. is this normal and is it very damaging if i do so? i would use product before doing touch ups but im not sure what to use.

I use spray that you spray before using a hot iron. One is from Tresseme and it is a heat tamer/ protective spray. I have another one from Herbal Essences that is just called Straighten Up. I think the Tresseme one works better for me. You should just go to a drug store and look down the hair supply isle for something that fits your hair type and is a protector. It will say it on the bottle.
