FLAT

uhm both are bad but flat ironing is better as long as you moisterise your hair when you shampoo it.

both are bad for your hair

chemically straighten last longer than flat iron

If I could afford to I'd do the chemical straightening because it last longer. Using a flat iron all the time will make the hair dry and break off.

Use a ceramic iron with spray protector for flat irons. The protector will help the damage done to your hair with the iron.

Chemically straightening your hair will usually never completely straighten your hair that long, unless its pretty straight, and at the point where you dont even need to use a flat iron. Flat iron it unless you think a brilo patch is sexy.

chemically straightening your hair lasts long but it actually damages your hair.

they're bothing damaging to the hair. but if you gett a relaxer and take care of it the way your supposed to your hair will be in better shape because you will not constantly be fighting the frizziness and tugging and pulling and yanking at knots.

While both are damaging, chemical straightening is far more damaging than flat ironing. Also, chemical straightening is "permanent"--the hair that is chemically treated will always be straighter than the new hair you grow under it. But flat ironing only lasts until you wash your hair again. Or if your hair is like mine, until any kind of humidity hits it.

i think it all depends on your preference....

if u chemically straighten your hair, then u avoid the hassle of flat-ironing your hair every time you wash your hair...but your new hair that grows out would be curly while the rest is straight...

in my opinion, i think flat-ironing would be better...u could change your hairstyle once in a while where one day u might want to get it straighten while another day u might want to have curly or wavy hair...where if u chemically straighten it, u won't have the option of changing to different styles

you should get it thermal recondtioned. It would make your hair very shiny and it will make your hair look naturally straight until your roots come out and are curly, and then you can get a root touch up treatment. It's a new technique, it was made by Japanese people and when you go to get it it will be done by japanese people.

chemically treating isz also good if you know how to take EXTRA GOOD care of your hair
